Our optomechanical modules and micro-optical assemblies are manufactured in our own cleanroom facilities at the new Brainport Industries Campus.
The job
As a CMM Programmer, you are responsible for developing and maintaining software programs to automate CMM machines. You have the capability to test and debug programs to ensure they meet quality standards or modify existing programs to improve efficiency and accuracy. You work closely in cross-functional teams, including production, manufacturing, and development engineering, to ensure that the sourced components meet quality standards.
In this position, you’ll be part of the Metrology team, where you have a flawless ability to conduct different types of measurements, from mechanical to optical products. You understand the manufacturability of products according to the drawing specification (TPD) and can execute part validation according to the provided First Article Inspection (FAI) by suppliers.
You’ll report directly to the QESH Manager.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Use micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, and other dimensional manual tools.
- Write programs based on the available software for the CMM.
- Learn to handle optical measurement devices.
- Develop work instructions for CMM setup and operation for various programs.
- Compile and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to customers for approval.
- Evaluate incoming FAIRs from suppliers and align internally on the results.
- Determine the conformance of products based on data received from the CMM.
- Assist Engineering in performing gauge studies (R&R).
- Support the Project Manager or Quality Manager in advising on dimensional inspection results (customer and supplier products).
- Maintain documentation records and data on tests performed.
- Recommend quality control solutions to complex problems and implement corrective actions.
We are looking for
- Minimum 2 years of CMM/CNC programming experience.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Ability to use technology effectively and efficiently to manage workload.
- Demonstrates a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement.
